Hi, and welcome to the site!

The 75 Monte's are getting pretty rare. I couldn't really tell you if it was worth repairing or not. I think it would depend on how bad of shape the car is in. I've always been a fan of restoring vehicles. But if the body needs thousands of dollars in repairs, and the interior is shot, then yeah, it might be better just to salvage what you can.

Wondering if it's 87,000 original miles, or if it's been rolled over a few times. If the engine only has 87,000 miles on it, sounds like a good engine to work with.

Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

Im with the rset of them here i tend to try and restor somethign before i have to junk it unless i buy it for that reason out of the gate. some cars you get becuse that is all you can do with them but they have a good drive train etc... If you are doing it just for the motor. why not fix this ones rust and touch up some paint on it and sell it for somethign more then you paid for it and then go buy just a moto and tranny or for another car that is tore up enought that it is not worth savign anythign but the drive train.

jus tmy thoughts.
