Hello. My father died recently. He had an 84 MC and I was hoping to get an idea of what it's worth. He bought this car new and was the only owner. His getting this car roughly coincided with my 17th birthday and he let me drive it all the time. I had a 65 Plymouth Fury and while it had a big block, it wasn't very good looking. Actually, it was ugly. Let's say that. The engine had lots of torque, the bench seat was good for chicks, and the four doors and cavernous interior meant I was always driving my friends around. Anyway, I took the Monte out whenever possible. I must have hand-washed that car a thousand times. It was the coolest non-SS in town. Black, V8, rally wheels, red interior, bucket seats, console, SS suspension. It's the only F41 suspension car I've seen. There were lots of Montes on the road and I always used to look for the rear sway bar and the stance, and never saw it on a non-SS car. Not that it adds any value, but I thought it worth mentioning. Unfortunately, it's a high-mileage car at around 130k. My Dad stopped driving it when he got an 04 MC supercharged SS. URL (pictures) below. I'm just looking to find out the group opinion on WIW. Thanks.

First, welcome to the forum, and sorry to hear about yout Dad.
As for you question on what it's worth, the car looks very solid from what I can tell. Common rust areas are at the bottom of the doors, fender wells, and inside the trunk. Interior looks very nice, just needs some cleaning from what I can see. How is the Dash, is it cracked? The worst part of the car is the paint. Assumng that the mechanicals run good and there are no issues with what I mentioned above, I'd say between $2500 and $3000. Might be able to push it to $3500, but nothing more.

Welcome and sorry for your loss. The condition overall looks pretty good. I would think if it's running good and everything works correctly it would be worth an easy 3000. If you put a little work into cleaning it up really good and had it painted maybe even 4500 to 5000 but who knows. Are you looking to sell it? What happened to the 04? Where are you at in MI? Somebody patient and talented could probably get it running again, but it's a high mileage car. If I had money and energy I'd drag to my house and fix it. I'll probably sell it, although it would almost kill me to see it with 20" wheels or in gangster dress.
Anyway, I'm in Lansing. My mother is 88 and doesn't/shouldn't drive, so I think the '04 is going to wind up in my driveway soon. Thanks everyone for the condolences.
