Default 04 monte carlo ss rear seal

Hi I'm new to this site. I am wondering about an oil leak, I just had the oil pan gasket done on my car to stop an oil leak,my mechanic did it and then told me it is probably a rear main seal that is actually leaking, I would like to know if this is probably the cause of the leak. What would be your recommendations or thoughts thank you

Welcome to mcf. Depending where the leak is depends what is leaking. If center of car could be rear main seal. If on passengers side could be front seal or oil pressure sender or oil filler neck etc. If oil pan gasket was changed scratch that off the list.
