A scoring error was made, Chris... I actually didn't give you enough points. You picked Hamlin, whom I originally scored you with 42 points, but I missed his lap led bonus as I usually have to make this based on the live scoring as of lap 400, and he got 43 points due to laps led.... so you get an extra point. The error has been corrected in my original post, and will be corrected when I update the stats thread. Another error was made when I did not correctly formulate my tiebreaker rule... Junior Car and Myself tied, yet I credited myself ahead of JuniorCar. I go by first picks, and Junior cars first pick was higher finishing than mine.

So this race was a snoozefest until 125 to go. If it wasn't for Juan Pablo Montoya, we may very well have gone 300 laps without a caution!!!! There were some cautions at the end.... but really, the race was clean. This wasn't what you would expect from a short track. Last fall was a doozie too.... then this... the Nationwide race on Saturday was short on cautions... what is wrong with this track???

And speaking of Juan Pablo Montoya... Wayne, RocknSS04 picked this guy.... and I'm with him... guy was 9th in points going in, and every time this guy starts to show a slight flicker of turning that corner, he f's it all up. This guy had Indy in the bag twice, and screwed it up twice. This guy has 2 wins on road courses, 1 of which was a fuel mileage run. He just proved he can't keep his focus again.

And we finally get a breath of life out of this #11 team!!! Not time to hit panic yet, but they're not out of the woods either!!! Good to see that the team is still alive.... not good to see Toyota's take the top 3. We're going back to some engine tracks.. Darlington, Dover, Charlotte, Pocono, Michigan... they're all tough on engines... lets see some Toyota reliability.

Carl Edwards more than impressed me... but that run at the end was more strategy than anything. And waht about David Ragan? Guy is good when the Ford's are good.. .he was running well last time Ford got on a streak of good runs.

And I can't believe Segment 1 came down like that..... I'm actually sad that it is over. It was getting so close... and only getting closer between a few of us!! But I'm sure for the now 4 who picked most of the other weeks, yet were a little out of reach, it will be a breath of air for you guys to get a run at it...

BocaReject, sorry you missed it man. Missing a week really hurts.... 9 weeks in, and missing a week still sends you straight to the bottom it seems. But Segment 2 begins with Darlington, and with some 2011 down and some predictablity coming to the season, and some of the most predictable tracks on the circuit in segment 2, it's going to be very close. Daytona is in there, and we conclude Segment 2 on a track the cup series has never run a competition race on... they've tested there, but never raced there....

Congratulations to Chris for winning this race... sorry to forget a congratulatory remark in the first post, you deserved it... you won one of these things, and I'm proud to call you the winner!! I also think you won by the biggest point margin so far. You won that thing by 22 points... widest margin so far had been 16 points. That can add up to keeping you in the overall season tally. It's going ot get confusing now with the new point standings having both overall and a segment tally, but I think I can keep this together.... From this week on,we will get a race tally, a segment tally, and an overall tally. Could get hairy, but I think we can adapt.

On to Darlington guys... rundown coming up on Monday sometime. Also, with this being the end of Segment 1, and a new segment, I want some feedback. Should we try to come up with an absentee system? Lougreen missed a race... now BocaReject... should we just say "so sad, too bad?" or shoudl we take the last weeks picks and knock 25 points off whatever they made? I don't want to just take the last weeks picks and a guy who didn't stop by to even say hello end up winning the race... so that's why I figureput in a 25 point penalty and let it go. Don't know what to do yet... so weigh in.

Congrats chris on the win. I dont mind second place this week.

Duane I agree missing a week takes you right out of the running. A football league I did last season took everybody's lowest week and erased it. I don't know if thats something you could track or not. Just a thought.

Thanks Duane for your time and dedication. If you want, make a poll of options for us to vote on. We love polls. Your idea seems good about the 25 points. There would have to be some kind of penalty. One of sould run across a situation of no internet and not be able to get to post their pics so it may not be a bad idea. With this nasty weather one never knows if they were to wait till the last minute. AND CONGRATULATIONS go out to you on segment 1. You won by the ahir on your chinny chin chin, or like Johnsaon at Talladega...............With JuniorCar pushing you..
