No, I picked them myself. I was worried but if I am going to win this thing, I cant just set back and follow the leader. Gotta pick different. I am coming, I was 48 back, now just 29. Yep, its an all out war. Its on.

 

Congrats jerry. I was looking great with about a 100 laps or so to go. I'd rather see Harvick win any-day whether i picked him or not.

Yeah, funny how we're not getting strung out... the top 5-6 or so are getting tighter each week! Texas next week... Talladega's coming.... Plus, 77GP won Phoenix with the most points anyone won with up to this point.. .then he tore us all a new one in Martinsville... he's the flat track king!!!!

Kevin Harvick is getting downright sneaky about winning these things... shows up with 2-3 laps to go and wins the race.

 

I'm 99% sure this is Harvicks first ever back to back wins in the cup series. he also made a huge jump in the points. Is it too early to talk Championship.

I actually think Junior was willing to take him out. Unfortunately for Jr., Harvick didn't even have a back bumper left to hit. I think Junior tried tho.

The condition of Harvick's back bumper played no small part in his victory. Mark Martin's car had the same condition at the end of the last Martinsville race and was by far the fastest car on the track. I figure it reduces drag on the back of the car. Plus the additional advantage that Junior had nothing to push around.

All 4 of the Hendricks cars are running in Chase position. The top 12 is composed of 8 Chev's, 2 Ford, 1 Dodge and 1 Toyota. Menard has dropped out of Chase position - big surprise there!

 

Might be on to something about missing a back bumper.... Bobby Allison went to Daytona one year with a bumper that was held on loosely so that it would fall off the car and he pretty much just sailed around everyone... think that was like 81 or 82. I also think they fined him for it after wind tunnel tests revealed an aerodynamic advantage.

And I'm in shock and all about Paul Menard... he started hot last year. Have to see how he runs in Texas... glad to see that he's not carrying the RCR banner around anymore... guy's more annoying to me than Kevin Harvick even. So much for that new Ford engine and the power it was supposed to bring!!! Sometimes I really think David Ragan is pulling down that Roush team... I'm with what you said last year, Brent... if I were Roush, I'd be working on getting that Ragan out of the 6 and Bayne in.

And I think this is a contract year for nearly all the Roush cars.... so it's a possibility. Jimmy Spencer in his little bit on Speed said that he thinks Edwards is leaving because he talked about his contract in terms of he was just going to race and see what happens... nothing like "I hope to stay at Roush..." and Spencer thinks he's going to Gibbs.... well I'll be looking for a new guy to cheer for if that happens, buy I think Spencer was pulling stuff out of his @$$ like he always does. HArd to say what will happen though. On to Texas, probably will start the thread tomorrow.

Not bad for not even getting a chance to watch the race! Harvick is my main driver, and I haven't picked him for the last 2 races, and he WINS! Maybe I better just keep NOT picking him!
