I don't think its of concern that Jr hasn't won a lot. Under this points system, he will start the Chase a mere 2 points out of the lead. He just made up something like 15 points at Indy alone. These consistant top 5's are all it will take to win the Championship.

 

You want to go explain your little theory to Carl Edwards, who averaged like a 4.9 finish in the last 10 races last year? I'm sure he would love to hear that....

 

All that Pony winning crap was rigged BS! There's your explanation. Any other year in Chase history, Carl would have won with how he ran. Pony was not really that capable and still isn't. That Miami race in particular was a joke...

Do you know how big of a marketbing blitz NASCAR could have going into the final races if Junior is about to win the title, a new car coming out next year ,and Danica moving to full time cup in 2013?????

 

You can be damn sure if Jr went on a 5 race winning rampage during the Chase last year that everyone, including myself, would have said it was fixed. And Jr had a better season then Pony did. I wouldn't believe that if it happened to Junior this year, which is way better then Pony did before magically getting hot at tracks he couldn't stay on the lead lap at or steal a top 10 before...

 

Tony is actually known for getting hot late in the season sometimes. He just magically got hot at the end of 2000? or so when I was a fan of his and won like 3 of the last 8 races. Jimmie won 4 of hte last 8 in 2004. I mean, it can happen....


The real mystery is hwo he ran so well in Hendrick equipment when Hendrick couldn't pull a salmon upstream at teh same time.
