No segment points since this is the beginning of our 4th and final segment of the year!! Bittersweet..... of course, we'll have a champion, a segment winner, and 9 more races to claim, but, then the season is over...
This Week's Advice
The regulars are your regulars for a reason here. Also, look back to the flat tracks of the season and see who ran well. Good racing, but somewhat predictable as well if you ask me. Watch practice, and watch qualifying. They seem to matter here more than at the 1.5 intermediates coming up.
Hendrick Motorsports
Not a driver from this organization that I would not recommend!! Jimmie is great here... but the catch is, he always has 1 bad chase race. He usually wins or screws up New Hampshire. Take your bets.
Jeff Gordon hasn't won here since like, Bill Clinton was the president. But he's good here, and Alan Gustafson is known for his flat track set ups.
Dale Earnhardt Jr... statistically, this is one of his better tracks. AFter that great start at Chicagoland, New Hampshire falls in perfet for him!!
Mark Martin has run better these last couple of weeks, and he's good here as well.
Richard Childress Racing
Harvick had a good flat track set up at Richmond a couple of weeks ago. He's good here. So is Bowyer, but Bowyer is driving for a job. Will RCR give up on him? Jeff Burton used to be a grear drvier here... won a race here once leading all 300 laps.
Joe Gibbs RAcing
A good Denny Hamlin track in theory because he's a good flat track racer, but he has no momentum and no luck this year.
Kyle Busch is good anywhere. But Kyle Busch falls apart in the hcase....
Joey Logano did NOT win that race in '09... Greg Zippadelli won when he left him out on fuel in the rain. Still, this is his home track nad he runs good here. Just not a race winner.
Roush Racing
One driver from this stable I recommend... and I have a hard time syaing this. Carl Edwards was good at Richmond, and has improved his flat track program at Nwe Hampshire a lot in the lalst copule of years. we can't really say that about the rest of the Roush guys. And that is why Edwarsd will be their championship contender... 3 flat tracks that are the achilles heel for hte rest of the Roush organization.
Tony Stewart Racing
Hard to deny that this fits both Newman and Stewarts style of driving. I don't know that anyone has picked Newman all year, but he;s in the chase, and running solid, and he won here. Stewart-Haas ran 1-2 here in the "spring" race (more mid summer), so watch out...
Penske
Brad K. seems to be slowly falling off. He's lucked into some good finishes, and luck means a lot in this business, but I just think he is cooling off a bit. Make me a liar, Brad!!!!
Kurt Busch is peaking at the right time. He's a "thrive under controvery" kind of driver, nad he is right there!!! Ran well last week, and this is a good Kurt Busch track!
@$$Hat teams
Juan Montoya, Martin Truex Jr are good here. Jamie Mac seems to blow up anytime he is having a good run. Otherwise, this is how I feel about this track. Good luck with picks, and we'll see how it goes!

Here you go Jerry! Again, congrats on the win!
You guys waste no time in getting another thread going! I'm nowhere near ready to make picks yet, but I answered Joe Gibbs racing to the poll. The reason I finger that team is because they seem to be the only one who getting caught cheating as a team. And they cheat in Nationwide too. Remember when they caught all 3 Nationwide cars with magnetic gas pedals that duped the dyno test? And all 3 Sprint Cup cars got caught with the illegal oil pans. It happens to them often enough that I think its safe to say they are still cheating every race and just haven't been caught yet.
RCR usually picks one guy to be there experimental scapegoat - usually Bowyer or Menard.
Micheal Waltrip Racing has quite the history of cheating too. Remember the rocket fuel Micheal used himself? Or that time he was caught with a "proprietary car part" engineered by Roush - the old man really freaked about that one...

Michael Waltrp doesn't consistently cheat... he just wants to see what it is like to run up front for once, not try to cheat for championships
Good memory on the oil pans... forgot that on.e Michigan in the spring this year, was it not?
