They backed Allmendingers car out, cranked it up, but it was no good...

Duane, awesome pics man, thanks. I've been to Dover 4-5 times and it is a very nice track to watch a race! I noticed while watching on TV there seemed to be alot of empty seats..... Looks like you had a pretty good time, thanks again

Great pics Duane - thanks for sharing! Like Chris, I was thinking how empty the seats were. I'm sure weather and economy both played a hand there.

Tony Stewart must have been entertaining to watch. TV didn't show any one incident, he finished 5 laps down! Somebody's gonna get fired - he never had that car all day.

Its neat to be out front in the points. Its the first time for me on the MCF. Even cooler is my rank here. That's another pool I'm in at work and it pays pretty good (top 10 spots). I'm in second of 148 at this time (pre-Dover)

Thanks guys:

I'll get a little personal, but I left early... I was going to leave Monday morning, but my girlfriend of 21 months decided she "needed a break" Saturday night (she's at the beach right now with her family, I was never invited there), and I had a lot of thinking to do and left as soon as we got back to his house in Maryland. When I went up to the Bay Bridge, I linked up with a few of the haulers and ran with 4 of the Sprint cup Haulers (the "oval office", plus Mark Martin, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Busch. It was a neat trip, and I decided that since the haulers were going thru DC, I would too... saw the capital and monument at night going across the Woodrow Wilson bridge.

But my car didn't let me down... It ticked over 120,000 miles as it pulled out of Oxford, NC, yet still got 31.6 mpg both ways. Amazing car for that age to still do that in my opinion. My quest for 200,000 is underway!

By the way, I have a thread up for the All-Star race.
