Go check the entry lists... Stewart and Harvick are already eligible for the main race. The Showdown race is for drivers not eligble. Juniro isn't eligible because he hasn't won a championship and he hasn't won a race in the last year.
So if you don't go back to the first post in this thread and check the entrylist for the showdown, you're going to be last in the showdown race.

Thank goodness. Thanks for letting me know. I wont buy anything but a GM product. Still not what they offer at this point. Except my cts,s. Is it true it will be called the ss or will it be the chevelle badge i have heard so many rumors about? If they call it the ss will they stop badging the impala and all the other jokester cars with the ss?

It looks like Jr, Allmendinger, and Treux are the popular three for this showdown race, and rightfully so. The real test will come to who wins that All-Star race!

They dont make a 6.0 anymore its 6.2 GM dont even make anymore replacement blocks for the 6.0 or 5.7

My picks, which are very similar to silverfish, qualified 1st and 3rd, yet my last guy, Kasey Kahne, crashed coming to the line..... be interesting to see how he can recover that one! He wasn't that quick in practice anyway. But I think those guys will figure the track out... Kasey and Hendrick are like that at Charlotte. I'm not going to lose this one the way I lost Kansas!!!
Busch and Hamster were also very fast in practice. I'm looking forward to dominating this race this evening!!! This one will be down to myself and Hunter.
For the showdown, the Allmendinger-Truex Jr-Earnhardt Jr gang is looking good as that set qualified top 3.
I'm going to a car show in Roxboro, NC tonight. I don't know if I'll get back in time to calculate the points for the showdown race as soon as it is finished. I will post on the forum as soon as I am back from the car show to tell you I'm here to calculate points. If I haven't posted by the end of that race, feel free to figure them up for yourselves.
The best way to do it this season with so many people picking is really to get a sheet of paper and write down everyones picks so you don't have to keep scrolling through the forum.
Then you use a spreadsheet. Screen name goes in column a. the points for the picks go in columns b, c, and d (remember 46 points for a winner, then you do 44- finishing position to calculate the rest, so 2nd place is 44-2, 42 points.) Then in column e, put this formula: =SUM(B1
1)
Then you just go to Tools > Sort, sort by column E, descending order, cell and all cells beside it. Sounds complicated, but really simple when you've done it as many times as I have.

I won the "Drivers Lottery" at a cruise in last night. The deal there is you get a $5 ticket, and 100% of that money goes to a driver in that show that night. I won that thing and took home $140.
This morning, I got a call to come in and interview with Person High for a social studies teaching position Monday at 10:00 a.m. Yes, he did call me on a Saturday morning.. at like 9:00. I think he wanted to make sure I wasn't hung over or something.
All of this just means that my planets are correctly aligned, and I am going to win at least one of these races tonight.
I am going to a cruise in at the Advanced Auto/Roses parking lot in Roxboro tonight... ironically enough, this cruise is about 100 yards from where I am hoping to get a teaching job, and it's about 30 minutes and 30 miles from my home.
Jerry, you're in charge of closing the betting window this evening. You shoudl only need to close it for the showdown race... we'll accept picks for the All-Star race during the Showdown race since they are realy two separate races.
I may or may not, however, be here in time to calculate points immediately after the showdown race. If anyone wants to do that, they are welcome to. I'll double check and confirm our winners.
