so does everyone know who won the race today, i hope so. it was pretty short and all i kept seeing was david reutimann and a crowd gather around him including car owner michael waltrip (goofball) but very funny guy, while the rain got heavier and the clock was running out as to how long it would take to get the track dried and the teams having to pack up, head back to their shops and prepare for dover next week? and yes david reutimann won his first career race, sorry if i spoiled it for anyone. (reminds me of sterling marlin and jeff burton) who have probably the most rain shortened race wins in their careers. see ya

i think a good tipoff that it was "over" before it was officially announced was when the cameras showed carl edwards, then jeff burton walking around by the haulers in their street clothes, haha. as much as it sucks that the rain wouldn't let up, the weather is a part of racing that you have to deal with. with the weather as iffy as it'd been the last 72 hours, teams have to start planning and strategizing around it. reutimann & co. were in the right position at the right time and made the right decision based on the situation. he's been running really well lately and has been denied wins so even though it was cut short and he may not have won had they run 600 miles but congratulations to him just the same. he has been on the verge.

CONCORD, N.C.–He’ll take it!
David Reutimann was the big winner in NASCAR’s losing battle against Mother Nature in Monday’s rain-shortened 24 Hours of the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Nearly 25 hours after the 50th edition of the race was supposed to start, and with menacing storm cells dotting the radar, NASCAR called the event after 227 of a scheduled 400 laps. That made a first-time winner of Reutimann, who parlayed a strategic call by crew chief Rodney Childers into the unlikely victory.

-Kurt Busch had his blue deuce running up front, but had to pit for a vibration and never recovered.
-Mark Martin had a rocketship #5 car, but a tire got away from his pit box, and he ends up 17th
-Jeff Gordon continues to lead the points by 44 over Tony Stewart
Just wait
