My g/f and myself both bought new 05 Chevy's at the same time. I have plans to replace my exhaust system in the near future, and would like to know if it would be possible to replace the stock exhaust on the 3.4 Chevy Impala (single mufler system) with the stock exhaust of my 3.8 Chevy Monte Carlo (dual muffler system). I'm getting the U-Bend Delete Kit installed on my exhaust tomorrow evening at a friends shop, when I finally order the exhaust system as a whole for my car. I plan to replace the down pipe/cat pipe with an aftermarket high flow cat that already has the U-Bend removed. I believe this would let me salave my old exhaust onto my g/f's car so she can get some added performance, while increase my cars performance with an aftermarket kit. Give me your feedback guys!

 

I believe the frame and the routing is the same so you shouldn't have any problems. I would just double check to make sure the hangers are there though.
