like in another post, i've been having problems with my 86 4.3 v6 monte...it idles great, i can rev it and it's fine...but when i put it in drive to go, it doesn't want to go...it creeps...anyway, i put the rear of the car up today...mostly because i'm getting ready for Hurricane Sandy and i don't want water getting in it...but i figured it was a good time to do some testing...started it up put it in gear, and when i hit the gas the rear spins no problem...doesn't struggle to get to speed, doesn't pop and shut off like when the car is driving up the road...now i'm wondering if something is wrong with the rear and that's why it won't go when it's on the ground, but it will when it's up in the air...the other thing i noticed was it doesn't seem to change gears while it's up on stands...does that make sense?...any help is appreciated....
