Default Wiring harness for blower motor behind dash has burnt pin

So I have been having intermittent blower fan issues in my 2005 monte carlo SS. Had the dash apart and the fan ran fine. Blower went out and now I have been pushing my hand behind radio to jiggle the harness and blower turns on. Pulled apart dash again and pulled harness apart. Lo and behold, the red wire to harness appears to have a burnt pin. Does anyone have any idea what part number this harness is? It is directly behind the stereo head unit. For the time being, I think I will use electric cleaner on it and some dielectric grease and see if that fixes the problem. Live in a cold climate so having defrost is crucial. Any help would be appreciated.

High current trying to connect on a dirty connection. Causes an arc, which chars the plug and adds more dirt to the connection.

Same thing happened to me, wire for rear window defrost charred to the point of failure. It was a pre-existing issue from the previous owner. I traced the wire from the plug and socket, cut it off and spliced them with a higher current rated connector. I think it was a splice rated for a speaker amp system. Zip tied the new splice to the original connector/bundle so if I ever had a reason to disconnect the harness I would see two splices. Worked fine for the years I had it.

Default Worked!

I used some large wire I originally bought to direct wire the blower to the fuse box. Decided against going through Firewall. I had some heat shrink splice connectors with solder in them. I used a plumber blanket to protect other wires from heat. I cut the large red power wire off at the plug on both sides and added about 6 inches of thick red auto wire. I used a second heat shrink sleeve to further protect the connection. Worked like a charm and the splice fits up nicely out of the way. Glad I went that route. The hardest part was putting the stereo back in. So many wires and a large adapter for steering wheel controls. Almost cut more of the black plastic out but managed to re route some wires and everything worked. Kept checking the blower as I mashed around wires.

Great call on splicing out bad connector, much easier than repinning in such a right space.
Plumber fire blanket so heat gun wouldn't melt other wires.

Splice naturally bent up out of the way of where after market stereo goes.

Funny I had the same problem back in September. I just cut them out of the connectors, solder then heat shrink. Maybe it will become a common problem.
