Hello all, I know im new here. but i would like to say thank you for allowing me to post. my question is I have a 1996 monte carlo, and i was just wondering if i can take a windshied out of a say chevy lumina same year and can i also use other parts from said vehical thank you who may be of some help........

 

i'm not sure about the windshield...but a lot of the parts are the same...

I think they are the same.
Call a glass company or the dealer they should be able to let you know

 

yeah i want to same they are the same car with diffrent badgiing on it the only thing you might have a issue on is that they only have had 2dr. monte carlos sicne dawn of time so keep that in mind when lookibng for parts sometimes with teh 4dr they change just a bit to make up the diffrence in the body lines etc,...

 

I would check with a gm dealer to verify. It might be the same part number as they are built pretty much from the same frame.

 

hello all, thanks for anyone's help on this subject it seems that my 1996 monte needed a new winshield and my seguestion was to replace it from a same year lumina and it seems it fits but off by a hair top to bottom fits perfect, bottom corners a little snug but the side trim pieces finlly fit! top corners alittle bit shy so I'll have to get wider trim pieces there. for any of you who want to know I only paid $15.00 for this winshield from a place here in Pa, it's called harrys you pull it in west hazelton great place so thanks again on any info..........

 

Holy Cripes!!! $15 for a windshield!!! They normally go for 10x that amount around here!!!
