Default Cleaning windshield

Whats up fellas. Does anyone have a good method for cleaning the widshield? I have good cleaner, but I cant seem to get this annoying residue off, when the window is dry you cant see it but when it rains it is horroble. I am assuming it a built up combo of road grime, exhaust gases, and just crap that is in the atmosphere. I have tried steel wool and maybe i just need to work on it alot longer but it didnt really seem to help much. Does anyone know if some other cleaner would work better to get this film off, like rubbing alcohol or maybe a degreaser or something like that. I am getting pretty sick of trying to see through this stuff when it is raining.

Firebird is correct...vinegar & newspaper is the ultimate. Although Meguiars has a great window cleaner that is guaranteed not to smear or smudge. Check it out at meguiars.com. Awesome post Firebird!!!

This is all true. 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water is the recommended ratio. Newspaper work very well on bare glass, but soft cloths are recommended for tinted windows.

Speaking of tinted windows...make sure not to use cleaners with amonia. They will turn the tint purple. Water and vinegar is safe to use on tint as well as bare glass.
