Leaky Windshield Repair
I have a slight leak in the top centre of my windshield seal, and I'm wondering if anyone could lend me some tips on what to do. I don't really want to pay to have the whole windshield taken out and re-sealed, it's just a drip leak that happens when it rains really heavy. Thanks.

RE: Leaky Windshield Repair
that is actually the best way to do it.
AS far as having it reseald gose you might call around and ge a extamate for it.
nice part is if you can find a repitabel co. they can do it and give ya a warrenty on it.
Othe rhtne that i have no clue. If you do the whole sealer thing it looks tacky and also can just add to your problems as it will re route the water to a diffrent place and cuse it to rust there

yah, i wouldn't fool around with it..just have it taken out and put back in...it wont be that expensive..and tell them you'll pay cash..most little businesses that do windsheilds will give you a much better price if you pay cash

What kind of coverage do you have on the car as your insurance may pay to have the windshield re-sealed?
When I was in college I had some grandpa pull right the h--l out infront of me in his Furd van. I was doing 55mph and he was going ZERO!
I managed to hold the car on the road to slow down for him. not 50ft up the road he drives off the side of the road and sprays my car with gravel. [sm=boosign.gif][sm=chairshot.gif]
One stone flies up and chips my windshield. [sm=icon_beat.gif]
I managed to get infront on him. Got out of my car and walkedback to tell grandpa Walton he'd just chipped my windshield. He comes back with my notknowing how to drive and he didn'tdo s--t to my car.
I got his license number and went straight to the cops to make areport. My auto insurance sent someone to my house to install a new windshield in my car in my drive way. The insurance didn't even bother to look at the car.
My cost for this was zip. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Dude, sweet! Man that's the coolest thing I've ever heard of,too bad my car isn't even insured lol. It's just sitting in my driveway looking good right now, 'till I get a job to pay for insurance.
