so i j ust had some work done today to my 97 monte carlo, left rear wheel cylinder, and the motor mount was repaired. they also changed two tires and rotated those. well the guy drove the car around did some adjustments on one of the brakes, drove around again, and then gave me my car back.

after about 5 minutes of driving i started to get a loud noise, it sounds like its the left front, almost like when you stick something in a moving fan. any ideas? ill definitely be bringing the car back to them tomorrow morning thou to be checked out.

 

sounds like your axel joints are messed up or they didnt tighten up the lugnuts or the brake caliper bolts are loose

 

It cant hurt for you to check that you don't have a loose wheel. Pug a Lug Wrench on those Lug Nuts and make sure you'll be getting back there in one piece.
Having a loose wheen will do a number on how the wheel fist if you don't rectify the problem right away.

 

Does the car need to be in motion to hear the noise?? I agree 100% with Rick..........Do not drive the car until you check the lug nuts.

 

yea its only when in motion, and as i brake and slow down, the noise decreases. ill check out the lug nuts in a little while, before i leave work.

 

checked the lug nuts and its not that those were loose.
