It's squirting coolant every time I drive the Monte and leaves me and with a cloud of smoke every time I drive. Today I just found out about it and now I know the cause of why I have to refill my coolant in my radiator every week.

It's the L piece looking hose right there on top of the breather

I believe that hose on your 3400 is called a "coolant bypass hose".

The manic & zjerry thank you guys it was just that. Problem solved now hopefully no more leaks until at least tomorrow lol.

 

I just replaced my bypass hose three days ago. Preventative maintenance. with 200k miles on the original and it looking like bloated road kill, I figured it was a good idea to change it. and at under $5, why not. I also bought the upper and lower heater hoses but didn't get around to changing them yet.
