Default weird radio prob.

I just bought an 04 monte ss Intimidator edition i have notice that once in a while my sound from the radio will sudenly just start sounding like the speakers all went under water, almost like the amp shuts off and the radio is just pushing the speakers it happens mostly when i shut the car off. if i go into the audio settings and change the bass or the treble just one click it seems to fix it for a bit. just wondering if any one els has had this prob or knows where i should start?

Im not too sure about this. Does your car have any aftermarket audio equipment in it? Sub, amp, speakers? I would say check for loose wires or poorly routed aftermarket wires. If it has nothing to do with aftermarket my best guess would be the amp.

Good luck man!

If i had to guess, i'd say the amp in the radio is going out. It could be a loose connection, but if you haven't ever messed with it, it would be kind of odd for it to just suddenly start causing problems.
