Question turning off the auto headlights?

I have a 2004 LS, and I LOVE the car but at times I wish i could turn off the automatic lights. mainly for when i go to the drive in if i turn the key to ACC to have my radio come on i tend to get fogged up glass (if cold outside) and if i turn the key to ON to turn on the vents, CLICK the lights come on. so is there a way to disable (not all the time just once in a while).

From what I understand, it's a problem a lot of people have, in that you can't really control the lights on the car I'm no expert, so maybe someone else has a solution.

you could always pull the switch halfway out and your parking lights will be on.

Pull the DRL fuse(s). Then instead of them always being on, it'll only turn on in the dark.

Unhappy

first sorry about posting this in the wrong section, and i do not care about the DRL those only come on when the car is in gear. and pulling the **** half way out wont work cause the sensor still turns them all the way on weather the **** is half out or all the way in when it gets dark enough to trigger the auto lights. I guess this is why they changed the light switch in the 06 up cars and added a AUTO option .

If you turn the car off, apply the parking brake then turn the car back on the lights should remain off untill you disengage the parking brake again.

That is a good idea, I know some people that will engage the parking brake 1 click so it's not fully engaged and they can drive still (though I don't recommend that)

I thought a place called bb engineering made a harness to eliminate auto and drl lights all together? I been trying to figure out how to turn it off... everything I tried, doesnt work!
