Tranny fluid leak
So I've had my 04 SS for 3 months now and it's a great car to make my 160 mile round trip commute to work in. However, today as I backed car out of the driveway I notice a 12" puddle of nice bright read transmission fluid.
Now it was dusk so I didn't get time or enough light to look at it real good but when I opened the hood I could see that from the bottom of the air filter box all the way down the inside of the car was soaked with fluid.
I'm guessing it will be a transmission cooler line over there somewhere. I'll find out more tomorrow.
Anyone have any tips for replacing these? I'm hoping they don't have special crimped on metal fittings.

Found and fixed the problem.
Lower transmission cooler line had come out of the clips and had been rubbing against the fan shroud and rubbed a hole in the rubber line.
Do yourselves a favor. Make sure your cooler lines are firmly clipped into those clips and save your self the same trouble I had

Glad the problem was found and resolved!! Also, great advice!! Unless I have a firm reason to change how the factory did something, I do my best to keep lines and wires in their various retainers.
