My 00' monte carlo ss has no gears after a pad slap and axle replacement. I took it for a test drive and heard a subtle pop from about where the transmission is located, then had no gears. When I turn it on, the speedometer acts wild, and when I bought it, the tranny fluid had no burnt smell and looked good. Could I have done something wrong with the axle replacement? I used new Cardone axles, only replaced them because the boots on both sides were ripped, and when I took the passenger side axle out, it came out in 3 pieces. Thank you for any and all advice/information or anything you can offer really.
