Default Axle shafts

I just replaces my tranny in a 2004 monte carlo ss. And now I can't get the axle shafts to go in does anyone have any idea how to do this?

some have a splined peice that may have fallin into the bottom of the case when the old ones where removed, otherwise its just a clip inside and you just have to use a little force to "pop" the axleshaft into the differental case

a dead blow hammer should help get it in there........but look inside the "holes" to see if there is anything obstructing them from going in

Agree with above. A little vaseline will help them "pop" in as well
