If the bearing is bad and has a lot of play, then that probably is the cause, but I'd check the codes just to be sure. Even though one bearing is bad, there is still a chance the other could be the one with the bad sensor
If the light is telling you it's that assembly, then yes that would be the reason.
In the wheel hub assemblies our out bearings, and various sensors. One being a speed sensor that is linked to the Traction Control system, and when that one goes, it will trip your trac off / abs lights.

It should go away on it's own. It may take a pre-determined set of starts without the problem though.
Your car runs a diagnostics check everytime you start the car, so it could just need to see that you fixed it a certain amount of times before it agrees that it's fixed, or you could ask someone to erase the code and see if it comes back on or not.
