traction % abs lights on

Default traction % abs lights on

I have 2000 Monte Carlo that the traction light,the abs light came on when i stopped.checked brake pads. what do i check now and how to fix problem.

Check the ABS sensors.. T/c gathers its information from the abs sensors. Inspect all connectors around the hubs. Id reccomend a good slathering of di-electric grease. If that fails, you will need to jack up the vehicle and spin the hubs slowly, use a multimeter and check across the leads for resistance. The one that is constantly open or closed may be it, or the one that gives an oddball reading.

Not 100% sure.. but good luck.

I have that myself one in awhile. I think I have a defective one somewhere too. It happens about once every 4-5 months or so. I've been lucky to be able to turn the car off and back on and clears itself.
