Default Top swap PCM tuning.

I just want to know if anyone has had any issues with tuning a top swapped PCM on a 00-02 PCM (L36)? I saw a thread on another site that got me concerned about the use of a 2 bar MAP and tranny problems with the PCM flash.

Than what bin file would you use? I heard that you can't use the 2004 bin file on a 00-02 because of transmission issues?

What are you looking to accomplish? Have you swapped your top end?
I can probably supply some stock .bin files for you. But you'll need your own .bin to modify as well.

What software are you using?

So I swapped in an L67 entirely, only thing that is stock 01 monte is the left motor mount and coil bracket.
I want to use a L67 os on an 01 monte carlo. I have my L36 os’s ve tables tuned to the air fuel spark from a L67 but just looking to see if theres a l67 os that’s useable.

I ran a 2000 park ave ultra, then a 2001 and 2002 gtp bin and got dtc codes. I have a 2004 monte bin witten on one of my pcms that I put on the car with a crank relearn code, but wanted to see if theres new info about if the bin will work correctly with the transmission or not.

I used LS droid to OS swap, TinyTuner for OS tuning, then Hp Tuners for quick and easy tuning.
I use a OBDXPRO VX then a MPVI3

Did you drop in the beef up version of 4t65e as well? Or is the trans still stock from 01?

Stock sprockets and chain, hardened output shaft and 4th clutch hub, with a shift kit and hd 3.29 diff. The transmission was from a 2003 lesabre so I had the swap valve body, a couple sensors, internal harness, then replaced the fluid pump. So a 01 conversion basically.

I think your transmission is the deciding factor here.
Unless you'd be willing to rewire the harness for the trans I think your stuck with L36 OS.
I dont know of anyone who modified the l67 .bin enough to run the older trans.
