6th Gen ('00-'05): rusted seat rails
You could *most likely* make them like brand new if you removed them, disassembled, and wire wheeled everything. Youd have to grease everything also. I wouldnt go making your car stink like that just to save a few hours of work.
If you really want to half butt it, you could get a really thick chunk of steel to use as a punch and tap on the front and back of the rails to at least get it un-frozen.
Or just buy new rails.

I'd agree with pulling them out and cleaning everything up from the bottom side too. If they're that rusted that the seat won't even move, Id really be wanting to inspect everything to make sure it isn't structurally compromised.
Was the car in a flood at some point? I dont think Ive ever seem rails rusted in place on a modern car.

May have been an attempt to seal the sunroof. Theyre known to leak.
