My stupid low tire pressure sensor went on (in the information center) in my 05. I checked all the pressure in the tires and every thing was fine. Then I went through the radio to reset the tire pressure setting. It went away and never came back.

Nope sorry - I usually don't even use the manual headlight switch.

Okay i'm a tech and i deal with the dumbest oil/tire resets ever they are all crap.

on 6th gen mc's/impala's the radio is the preferred way of reseting the tire/oil monitors. GM made the headlight switch in and out 3 times to park lamp position and off to reset the tire monitor and gas pedal three times to the floor when the key is in the run position. the reason they did that is simple
1. they used old technology that was easier to incorporate to new systems by just adding to the system than redesigning it completely.
2. did it so people could still reset warning systems if they put in an aftermarket deck.

hope that adds clarity to the situation, as an example a newer honda is as follows key on, puch trip button and hold for 10 seconds, once oil life % starts to flash release button for no more than 3 seconds, push and hold button a further 5 seconds or until 100% is shown.....WTF are those wacky japs up to???? don't even ask about volvo's.

whoa the low tire light was on already? make sure the tires are cool from sitting, not hot from right off the highway. put 35 psi min depending on tires (ignore tire pressure label on car) and reset the TPMS. if the light is still on you have some other issue or its not reseting some how.

No no, I let the air out after brock said it was for the tire monitor, and waited for the light to come on.
