Default stock catalytic converter

Hey,

Im looking into replacing my stock cat. But im having troubles just finding it! My monte is a 2006 3.5L v6 and the only thing i can see from a glance under the car looks like the resonator? I have a feeling the cat is angled upwards toward the manifold but im not too sure...

What size catalytic converter do i need?
I cant tell if my stock one is welded on or if it bolts on?

Thanks fellas!!

you would get more answers if this was posted in the general tech area, this section is for showing people how to do things.

but the cat should be closest to the downpipe towards the front of the car, i believe it is welded but may be different for your year

please check out this page on my webpage, it should help you out.

Moved thread.

There are multiple ways to change a cat. Some are just the cat itself and you cut out the old and put in the new. Or you can buy a whole downpipe section with the cat built into it and that just bolts on in place of your stock downpipe.

ZZPerformance doesn't support your engine.

Well I wouldn't worry about your stock cat if it is still fine.

ColdAirInductions.com makes a CAI kit for your car. 3.9L version fits yours.

I know there isn't much for your engine, sorry :P
