SS was stolen
Well they caught the two kids that stole it and found the key fob, my 9mm, some jewelery and hopefully my watch. I'm just impressed that between two different county law enforcement agencies, they found it so quick. I even beat the tow truck to the scene...
Thanks trew. I pulled a wiring diagram off my All Data site. It shows the two plugs and wire color codes and placement. It'll be an ultra tedious job because some of the wires on the connectors are maybe a half inch long and crimping on a connector will be a PIA. The wiring from the harness is easy enough to expose and get more usable wire. Unfortunately soldering is a skill I have NEVER been able to master let alone doing it upside down. I just need about 3 hours and correct tools to do it.

Hi `Len,
It's great to read that Law Enforcement found your Monte & property with little damage to your Monte Carlo

It's sad that it happened, but a reminder to everyone to protect their possessions...There are many desperate people out there
...Wish you better security & GOOD LUCK
Well it took a tedious 4 hours but I managed to get all the wiring matched up and spliced. Tested it and my sound system is back. On Star will have to wait though. there are two wires that are broken off inside the connector. No biggy as I didn't have on start activated. One small glitch however. The overhead display works when it wants to. The thugs did unplug the connector behind the rear view mirror so maybe that's where to start looking.
ps: Audio store wanted 200...................chevy wanted 500.............I spent 6 bucks on some butt splices from the shack...........
