I I need do know where this spring goes on my 3.8 2004 somewhere between the motor mount and oil filter holder and the direction it goes

 

It's easier if you look at the front cover side instead - there's an obvious hole for it just about dead center of the bolt pattern.

Stick the spring in the hole in the front cover, then the plunger, then the gasket on, then bolt on the oil filter adapter:

 

Holy heck thank you so much been everywhere trying to figure it out but no one could locate a diagram and walah thanks a boatload
