Solid Orange Security Light. No Start.
Hey everyone, I've got a 2004 Monte Carlo 3.4 with 123k. It has a solid orange security light, the car will crank but not start. Tried 10 and 30 min reset procedure but doesn't work. Already replaced ignition lock cylinder as well as ignition switch. Neither have fixed the problem. The car runs as long as I'm spraying fuel/starter fluid into the intake. Getting a code reader a bit later today. Does anyone know what could be the cause of the problem? Or what I should look for when I scan for codes? Thanks.

Hey, I appreciate the response, but my Monte does't have the button/switch that was used in the video... Already searched YouTube looking for a solution. Does anyone have any other ideas? Also, has anyone tried splicing the security wire going from the ignition going to the bcm and putting a resistor in? I think this would permanently fix my problem...

Have you tried the PCM/Security re-learn process? Here is a link to the steps:
