Default smoking tailights

so ive done this plenty of times before but ive always used the spray tint for RC car windows that can be bought at hobby shops. i saw the rustoleum brand tint spray at autozone and figured its gotta be the right product to use. this is the second time ive done the job and they cameout flat and not the slightsest bit glossy =[

anyone wanna let me know how to do it? somehow without sanding because come november ill need to remove the paint to get a sticker lol
