Slotted rotors
Hello, I was wondering what everyone's take is on Slotted or drilled rotors. Is there a particular brake pad and rotor combo that I need to keep in mind? If any of you out there have them, let me know what you think about them... Thanks, MIKE.

RE: Slotted rotors
Powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads are FANTASTIC! I have over 100,000 miles on the combination. I swapped them off my '01 SS LE when I bought this Intimidator SS 2 1/2 years ago. They had 35,000 miles on them then, and looked as good as the pads from the factory with less than 5,000 miles. they are CLEAN pads, and the slots help keep the debris from hanging in the pads and destroying the rotors. These rotors are totally smooth, unlike most rotors with 100K miles. I'll take a pic today and show you what they look like with that kind of miles on them.
Powerslot also makes a rotor that is cryogenically treated (deep freeze) for extra protection against warpage. Powerslots are plated, so they always look good.
Stay away from drilled rotors, as they just weaken the rotors.
IMPORTANT: You MUST hand tighten your lug nuts to 100 ft/lbs, and check them after 30-50 miles, and even again wouldn't hurt. Mismounted wheels id the FASTEST way to warp a rotor there is! PERIOD!
