Default bad booster, any temporary fix?

my car has what we are 99% sure is a bad brake booster (the master cyl is new, and the brakes are bled and dont leak) i unhooked the vaccum line that runs to the booster, and plugged the booster and line with large bolts. now i have to pump the pedal 2 times before i have any braking power. i only need a temporary fix for a couple days til i get a new booster to get back and forth to work. its only about 2 miles, and im in a small area with very little traffic otherwise i wouldnt drive it. is my cob job the only temporary fix, or is there a better way?

Haven't heard of any temporary fix for a booster.
