I have an 01 monte carlo 3400

My driver and passenger fans both screetch on startup when cool or cold outside.
If I turn engine off after 2 minutes and restart it does not screetch. I am guessing that I will need to replace the whole assembly, motor or can it be lubricated? I am not able to do repair myself but was wondering my options.
thx

If you're talking about the inside fan, there's only one and it's only available as an assembly.
The radiator fans are also a single assembly.

You can try spraying the fan motors with some WD-40. It surely won't hurt anything. If compressed air is available, try blowing the motors clean, then lubing them.
Good luck.
