I was trying to change my shifter handle to a different style. One with a top button. After i changed it i could not get the key out from the Acc position. I was eventually able to get it to the off postion and pretty much rip the key out of the ignition. But now i cant get it back to the on position or switch gears. Anyone have any idea that wold be awesome and very much appreciated. Thanks.

 

well the good news is you know how it happend and who did it.
the bad news is
you might have destroyed your ing. switch.

But try to remove the new handel and put the oldone back on.
once on try to get the car in to park correctly and try to ge tthe key to move.

our cars have a certin place that the stick has to be in to let the car knwo it is in gear. if it thinks it is out of gear it wont le tthe key go so you dont leave the car out of gear and walk away and have the car roll away.
