so i let my 18 year old son take the monte out for a night hes pritty responsible when he takes it out and when he came home he said dad i wanted to try a 180 and when i hit the e-brake it did it but the dash then said service traction system and when he turned the car off and back on it dident say it anymore but anytime the car slip an excesive amount now it comes up and goes away when ur turn it off again do u think the traction system needs to be fixed or is it just saying that cause its oversliping? i appreciate all the help

p.s my son's not taking the car out anymore

 

Yeah mine does that too and I've wondered about it. Especially in the winter when it is icy and I can get some good slides going with the E-brake. I don't think the traction system actually needs to be serviced; it's probably just something it says when you put the E brake on for some reason.
