Wow. I would have told him I was going to buy it until he threw an attitude and informed his boss.

It appears at times that I need to be within 20 yards of the car for the remote to work. It appears to depend on how many cars are in the lot. Less cars in the lot then it seems to work better farther away...

Thoughts on this?

Thanks, I am going in Monday for a list of new issues:

Broken A/C vent.

Bad pressure sensor on one tire.

Loud constant clicking (relay) noises from under dash that last for a minute or 2.

Broken passenger rear seat latch.

Missing rubber stopper for hood.

...and the remote is starting to give me problems.
Took it in today.

Also going bad was the ISS (again), the service dude finally agreed. He told the the problem is mild with the Monte compared to the Tahoe's.

The clickingis some sort of acctuator for the remote start.

I am a F&I Manager for Chevrolet Dearlership. You can purchase an extended contract as long as you have at least 3-months & 3,000 miles left on your original warranty. But the price goes up after 12,000 miles, 24,000 miles, and 30,000 miles. After each interval, you can count on doubling the cost.

I think this is great info i'll make sure to look into this

The Mod that control the Air pressure sensors and Remotes is bad. I noticed by air pressure sensor needs service flashed across my display for a fraction of a second and then my remotes (i was thinking batteries) was getting weak quickly. So I took it in and there is a Service Advisory on this and the $437 repair was FREE under warranty. If you notice your remotes are not working well, you might want to take it in and get it checked.
this was an issue MONTHS ago, if not a year ago (for the Impala's).... I've had mine fixed for about 3 months now...at least...

it has to do with the whole remote receiver (located under the dash), the remotes, tire pressure sensors, etc etc...

Just had my06 LTZin the shop for the tire pressure monitor problem. Have also noticed in the past week that the driver seat seems to be getting loose and the 6 disc CD changer is getting tempermental (ie - does not want to load CD, and when it finally playsit makes a popping noise thru the speakers). Still waiting on new steering rack to correct noise in front end. When it comes in I'll have it all checked out. As far as mileage goes - have been averaging 25-26 mpg.
