Unhappy Security and Airbag light flashing, but No start.

I have a 1997 LS that the batter may have gotten low on and that could have tripped the Theft Lock. I was told that that may cause the lock out. We will see. Both the Security light and The Airbag Light are blinking back and forth and the car won't start. Any extra ideas on what it maybe would be great.

so i found out that in the older models from about 2000 and older there is a fix for it but... you need a locksmith to do it. bypass the passlock requires finding the right resistance that reads from the key... so may some of you could just put a resistor in and the whole problem can be solved. Thank you older man locksmith.

Not sure if passlock on a 1997 is the same as 2000+, something you might want to try is what is referred to as the PCM Security Re-learn (it is not exclusive to the PCM, it is really a passlock relearn).
The other option, again not sure is a 1997 is the same but works in the 1999+ Grand Ams and would work in the 2000+ Montes (because their passlock is the same) is cut the wires related to the lock cylinder (or in your case the key) and put in a resistor and do the relearn I mentioned. At that point, the key (and passlock) is useless.

This video explains on a Grand Am what I am talking about:
