Security Light

Default Security Light

once in a while my dash security light comes on,anyone else have this prob?

Could be the start of your ignition switch going bad. My symptoms started with the security light/no start situation then turn signals and gauges started wigging out. Only had to replace the switch itself, I was able to reuse the key cylinder.

oh boy..my car didnt start yesterday after i got a p0455 code..disc the batt and reconnect and it started.

those cylinders are not cheap...100 bucks..easy to put in??

Should be pretty easy, about and hour or so. Just need to take off the driver side dash panel to get to it.

I ordered that purge valve in rear for the 455 code.

got stuck on the road today,car would not start,the lights on dash came on,when I went to start it they went out,dome light didn't dim...after 15 min it started,wiggling the key 10 times...ign switch?

It's likely you only need to replace the ignition switch itself and can reuse your old key cylinder. I think the switch was may 40 or so.

Looks like you can use the same one as my 2001. Google Dorman 924-701

I got one on ebay for 80 bucks,does the dealer the only one who can make me a key?
