Default Request help bleeding air from '06 MC SS 5.3 cooling system

Hello, All. I have a '06 MC SS with the 5.3 liter V-8 engine. Radiator developed a crack so I replaced it with a new one from 1800 Radiator. While I had everything apart I decided to replace the T-stat & both radiator hoses. Got everything together fine but I can't seem to get all of the air in the system out. I've searched the forum & found several threads that say the V-8's are supposed to have bleeder valves, but I can't find them. My heater doesn't get as hot as it's supposed to now and the temp has climbed up to the 3/4 mark a few times when I drove it a few miles after replacing everything. From what I've read in the MC Forum these are symptoms of air in the system. Can anyone help me with instructions on how to bleed the air on an '06 V-8 and the locations of the bleeder valves? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That seems like a lot of extra stuff you don't need if cold start car without cap on and the air bubbles will rise to surface and get out

This would make it obvious that you have never done an LS4 properly!

Thanks Ill_Born, I'll give it a try today & let you know how it goes. My SS has been in the garage two days now just idling to let the air bubbles out as '04 SS/SC mentioned. Yesterday I cut down the neck on a long funnel so that it just fit inside the coolant fill neck on the engine. Filled the funnel half full then alternated engine speeds 2000 to 3000 rpms for a few minutes and that's when I got some bigger patches of trapped air to start coming out. Overnight I left the funnel half filled & this morning I found the funnel empty.

All this work and all they had to do was install a bleed port
