Replacing Tail Light bulbs with LED's
Howdy, Somewhere in this extraordinary forum, I found info about replacing stock brake light bulbs with LED type. Cannot find it again, so I titled this thread to be easier to find.. The LED bulb listings for my 6th gen say they are 3157's and they list an option for CAN system resistors included in the bulb design. I remember seeing that just replacing the bulbs causes flashing and error issues. Not wanting to add-on the external resistors on each bulb, will the resistor included bulbs correct those issues? Tried to add on the LED mod tail light assembly's, but they are definitely not "plug-n-play"
Thanks in advance!

When you say the assemblies aren't plug-and-play, do you mean these?

Because they are completely plug and play and work great.

These would look sharp on your car, it helps keep the stock look, but also adds the LEDs, and my favorite part is that both top and bottom will now light up with brake lights, instead of just the bottom.

Led Lights
Matrix racing has direct plug in lights. Back in 2008 this forum got a group buy discount.
Maybe we should start another one. Sold my last Monte with them still installed wish I did not.
In 2008 they were $268 now I thick they want a bit over $300 a set.

Bump... (sort of)
I'm interested in just replacing the bulbs in mine too. I have an '03. I'd like to get the ruby red lights too but just can't afford them right now. I would think that I would just need LED 3057 bulbs for the brake lights. I would need the LED 3057's for the turn signals too but would need to add resistors (or buy ones with resistors built in) for them to avoid the hyperflash. Does this sound correct?
