6th Gen ('00-'05): Rear Window Defrost Weak
Hey Friends,
Having an issue with the rear window defrost. It STILL works but doesn’t clear the window near as well as it used to. When the window is fogged, it will only clear the areas directly touching the lines so my view is striped if you will. If the window has ice on it, depending on how cold it is, I can see it melting but it never actually clears the ice. I would like to add that while cleaning the back window last winter I, very painfully, ran my finger into the edge of the piece where the connection goes from the glass to what I’m assuming is the power source. (Not the connection itself, just the cover) Upon inspection though, I don’t see any breaks in the line going into the connection and the connection is tight. All of the lines do still work. Although, I haven’t checked the breaker, however, I’m assuming if that was bad, it wouldn’t work at all. What say you MC geniuses!?

Here is a link to find the way to diagnose the issue.
I don't use the one in my car anymore I only drive it when the weather is nice, so it might work yet but not sure.

I know there is a circuit breaker that sometimes fails and causes the rear defroster to full fail. I would start with replacing that (my guess is that it is tripping very quickly, hence the limited results). Here is a thread about changing it:
