I had recently tore the interior out of my 07 for a sound deadening project. After reinstalling the aft lower seat I notice the RH side though locked down has some vertical movement and is fairly easy to pull back out. I haven't quite figured out the plastic lock mechanism. The odd thing is that the other side locks nice and tight after a swift smack on the top of the seat.

Any ideas?

 

Is there a little black piece on the bottom of the seat to lock it in? I lost mine and they wouldn't stay down

 

yep, plastic piece still attached to the square metal piece.

 

There should be a hook type thing under the seat and that should go right into the black piece, I would check the black piece to see if maybe it was damaged

 

I suspect that is the case. Nothing noticeable though I am thinking maybe being plastic it has been deformed.

 

did you have any trouble getting the rear seat itself out? I've taken the seat out of my 02 a million times and it appears to be the same mechanism for the 06 but when I try to pull it out it feels like it's locked into place. Any suggestions?
