6th Gen ('00-'05): Rear Defroger Breaker, Curerent
Have a 2003 Monte Carlo SS and the rear defogger is inop. tested the circuit and found out after removing the fuse box on the right side, that there is no current getting to the breaker for the defogger. does any know or have a diagram of were the breaker gets it power from.
Thanks,
Bob

I believe there is also a fuse for the rear defroster. Have you checked to ensure the fuse is functional and the correct size?
FYI - You double posted this same exact question in another thread in our tech info section. I removed those because this is the best place for that question (it's own thread) and it's also too much for members to help you in multiple threads.

Hi Bob.
Here's the Schematic:

My bet is your problem is with the defogger relay located in the fuse box on the passenger side that you removed.
You might also have poor AM radio reception, and no power to heated mirrors (If you have them).
Hope this helps, keep us posted.

will let you know.

The AM and FM antennas are separate. The defogger grid actually is the AM antenna. You may still have good reception on AM if the signal is strong enough, but it would be better on week stations if the circuit was complete.
If I'm reading the schematic correctly, you would have no BCM if that fusible link were bad.
