Default Rattle in rear of 04 MC SS

Hi,
I have posted this message on other boards as well as talk to my dealer about this, but to no avail. I have an 04 SS and I hear a rattle in the rear when Im driving, mostly over uneven roads. The dealer has had the car twice and have not been able to address it, they can hear it, just not address it. They said that they found a loose nut and bolt in the trunk, under the carpet, but that was not the problem. They said that also looked to see if the nut and bold fell out of anywhere, but said it did not. So the rattle is annoying and I do not know where it can lead to down the road. Adding weight to the back does not seem to do much help, nor hurt the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks

I have not heard of anyone having this problem till today. Keep us posted on your findings..

Does it sound like it's an inside or outside noise?

Has it made the noise from day one?

Im not sure if it is coming from underneath the car or inside the truck area. Pretty much the noise has always been there. With all the problems I had with this car, I think this car was built on a Friday, if you know what I mean.

Ill keep you posted.

I wonder if a tool or part was left behind at the factory within the side walls of your car? Just a thought....

I would have someone at least ride in the back seat to see if the noise can be narrowed down to a smaller area and start removing side molding.

Here is an update. I was just poking around on the web and I came across this TSB: 05-03-09-001 "Rattle Noise in Read End Over Bumps". The problem that i see is that it is listed for a 2003 Cadillabe CTS, the condition is "Some customers may comment that with four passengers in the vechigle, there is a rattle in the rear end while going over bumps." My conflict is in I have an 04 Chevy MC SS, not the STS and I hear it, when I am in the car alone, or with another passenger, rarely do I have the back seat occupied. The TSB says the fix is to replace the Rear Shock Absorber with a re-tuned service asorber. Does anyone think this will hold water with my complaint?
