Random Acceleration

Exclamation Random Acceleration

Hello I own a 2003 SS and it is a great car just however it has started to randomly accelerate for example while I'm at a red light even though I am hold down the break and not giving it gas it while rev haven't been able to find the cause of this any help would be appreciated thanks

Check for engine codes in the computer's history. Next, check for vacuum leaks.

Sounds kinda like a TPS (throttle position sensor) or a MAF (Mass air flow) sensor to me. But it probably should throw a code...

I had this problem x2. First with an Aftermarket MAS then with a bad Delco MAS. In the first case there were no CEL codes. With the bad Delco MAS, it threw a code for a bad O2 sensor (Bank 1, sensor 1) lean code. Since I got the new MAS installed the random acceleration and the O2 sensor code has cleared.
