Default Rack and Pinion / Suspension Part#

Hi everyone

I am trying to fix my elderly mothers 2005 SS Supercharged with 30k miles for her that is need of a new rack and pinion according to a local repair shop. We thought it was the intermediate steering shaft needing replacedment but after replacing that most of the clicks and clunks are gone but one still remains, I can feel the click in the intermediate steering shaft when reaching behind the brake pedal into the boot while rotating the steering wheel just and inch or two both ways. Also to note that this car drives as straigh as an arrow down the freeway for almost 2 miles with out thouching the steering wheel so I find that kind of odd. The mechanic says he can feel the click around the pinion housing from underneath the car, Im wondering if what hes feeling is the samething Im getting in the shaft.

Anyways, Im trying to order the Rack and Pinion online and Im getting multiple versions come back and not sure on what I should get here, how do you tell what suspension is in the car
CARDONE 221003 Remanufactured
with Ride Handling Suspension (FE3); with Sport Suspension (FE3); w/ Hydraulic Power Steering
CARDONE 221012 Remanufactured
Includes Inner Tie Rods, with Special Ride, Handling Suspension (FE4); w/ Hydraulic Power Steering
BBB INDUSTRIES 1030170 Remanufactured
Power Steering
MAVAL 95318M Remanufactured
With Ride Handling - FE2 or Sport - FE3 suspension

and this one which is from a local parts store but Im having doubts its correct for the car now since finding multiple listings online
Part Number VIN103-010 aparently the brand name is Vision OE

How do I know if I have ride handleing suspension or not? was that in certian special models?

Thank you everyone

If you open the trunk, there is a sticker on the inside of the trunk lid. It will have a list of 3 character codes. That will tell you what suspension option (such as FE2 or FE3, as those codes would show on the RPO sticker in the trunk).
