sell that "chip" Get a ZZPerformance.com 3" downpipe, Plog and one of their PCMs.

You should win if all things are equal unless you spin the tires too much. Race prep, 1/4 tank of premium gas, remove spare, remove any speaker boxes, air up rear tires to max sidewall PSI, DO NOT air down front, leave at 30-32. Engine temp to just below normal. Swap in a 180 thermostat if you can, it helps keep knock retard down a little.

Why a 3" downpipe? I would think that is way to big for a non-modded L36. Could be wrong, but it gets back to the "No back pressure" and peak performance issue.

So you don't air down your front? Are they launching or are they runinng from a rolling start? Rollng, keep pressure, launching drop the pressure. Launching good weather I'm at about 22lbs DOT, 18lbs drag radials

I say a V6 Mustand should not scare you, a Gt package can give you cause for concern.

I'm gonna agree with zippy. Unless your boosting you probably don't need a 3" also I havent lost to another N/A V6 yet. But most V8's will give us a good run (and probably win) the 3.8L in the mustang doesn't have queit as much torque as our bow ties. Thats where your gonna get him. Watch out if he wants a rematch though cause he could slap a procharger on that bad boy.

Also take out the passenger seat, rear seat, remove all the crap from glove box & center counsel. Also drive naked.... Your clothes and shoes probably weigh 5 lbs alone

Driving naked just makes it more embarising if you do lose

my apologies. I forgot the 02 Intimidators were a N/A motor. I'm was thinking of a co-workers former 2004. The 2.5 DP is what you want. Bolting it in is easy. Just spray the top and bottom bolts with penetrating oil every day for a week before you work on it.
